Calum Davis

Dip Arch, RIBA, ARB - Senior Partner

Founding Architon in 1983, Calum continues to lead with a commitment to innovative design and unparalleled client service. Calum leads the practive with a wealth of knowledge in managing the design process collaboratively and delivering projects on time and on budget. Calum's dedication to creating sustainable designs that surpass client expectations, has been the cornerstone of Architons success.

Dawn Hutchings

BA (Hons) Arch, MArch, P.E. Cert, RIBA, ARB - Partner, Chartered Architect & PSM

With over 30 years in the industry, Dawn's journey to Chartered Architect reflects her unwavering dedication to the profession. As a Partner of Architon since 2015, she brings a wealth of project experience across all project sectors, completing schemes ranging from £50k to £50m. Also serving as Practice Systems Manager, Dawn's commitment to quality management is reflected in the innovative, inclusive and high-end designs she pioneers. Her skill set ensures comprehensive design leadership on complex and specialist projects, prioritizing a service to exceed client expectations through all stages of design and construction till delivery of the final built experience.

Richard Black

Dip Arch, BA (Hons) Arch, RIBA, ARB & ESM - Partner

Richard joined Architon in 2005, was made Associate in 2015, and a Partner in 2024. Richard excels in leading multidisciplinary projects. His proactive and responsive approach, coupled with a focus on client aspirations, ensures the maximum potential is achieved in every project, from minor alterations to complex research facilities.

Adam King

BA (Hons) Arch, PG Dip Arch, ARB - Partner

Bringing over 35 years of architectural experience to Architon, Adam has evolved from an Architectural Technician through to an Associate and more recently made a Partner in 2024. Adam’s meticulous technical design approach is crucial in contributing to various projects and problem solving. As a Project Architect and Manager, Adam has a vast portfolio of New Build and Refurbishment projects with clients consistently praising him for his reliable advice and continued support.

Craig Matthews

BA (Hons) Arch, MArch - Architectural Designer

Bringing over 10 years of experience to Architon, Craig excels as an Architectural Designer. His proficiency as a CAD draftsman, combined with technical knowledge, ensures seamless collaboration with consultants, suppliers, and contractors. Craig's expertise has proven invaluable in a variety of projects for Science, Research, and Higher Education Clients.

Greg Long

BA Arch, Dip Arch - Consultant

As a Consultant, Greg deals with Clients on a day-to-day basis and is actively involved in the running and administration of projects. Attendance at Client Project meetings is a very important part of this “hands on” approach. Greg has worked on a large number of refurbishment projects for general research and specialist areas. His projects cover a wide spectrum of the research programmes including Clinical, Biochemistry and analytical laboratories together with various containment suites. Support and specialist projects include Hydrogenation, Pilot Plant, Mass Spectrometer, NMR Suites and Stability Facilities together with general laboratory support areas – glass wash, stores, offices, write-ups and temperature controlled environments.

Iame Lopes

BA (Hons) Arch, MArch, PG Dip, ARB - Architect

Joining Architon in 2020, Iame brings a fresh perspective, having completed her Bachelor and Masters in Architecture at Kingston University. As a qualified architect, she excels in coordinating diverse design teams for successful project completion. Iame's experience spans research, healthcare, education, and retail projects which is a reflection of her versatility.

Jonathan Eyre

BA (Hons) Arch, Dip Arch, RIBA, ARB - Consultant

Since 1993, Jonathan has played a vital role at Architon, progressing from Project Architect to Partner in 2015 and in February 2024 becoming a Consultant Architect. Jonathan's expertise lies in formulating complex briefs, engaging with user groups, and his specialist field - spatial assessment analysis. Jonathan's extensive knowledge of Biomedical and Science facilities, coupled with his collaborative approach, makes him a key figure at Architon.

Maria Harmalia

BA (Hons) Arch, Dip Arch, MSc EEB, ARB - Senior Architect

Maria has over 20 years’ experience within the Construction Industry working as a Lead Project Architect at Architon LLP. Maria specialises in Clinical and Research planning and has managed architectural packages for both new build and refurbishment schemes of varying complexity and budgets through all RIBA Stages. Maria always promotes collaborative working and successfully manages the Team to ensure the timely delivery of complex construction packages.

Matthew Reynolds

BA (Hons) Arch, MArch, ARB - Architect

Part of the Architon team since 2014, Matthew has a well-rounded skill set with experience at all design stages on projects within the education, healthcare, leisure and residential sectors. Able to work independently as well as part of a large and diverse project team, Matthew employs excellent communication and effective coordination to develop and realise client expectations throughout the design process and successfully deliver schemes on site.

Michal Salamonowicz

PhD in Architecture, RIBA, ARB - Design Associate/Architect

Since 2003, Michal has been an integral part of Architon, showcasing an exceptional skill set and passion for architecture. His achievements include defending a doctoral thesis in 2015 and contributing to highly awarded projects. Michal's expertise in BIM and cutting-edge design techniques makes him a natural fit for Architon's innovative team.

Nicola Hicks

Office Manager

With over 37 years at Architon, Nicola's journey from Secretary/Receptionist to Office Manager highlights her integral role. Managing finances and ensuring smooth office operations, Nicola's expertise keeps the team on track.

Pauline Harris

BA (Hons) Arch, Dip Arch, MArch, ARB - Architect

With over 15 years at Architon, Pauline was mentored from Part 1 Architectural Assistant to qualified Part 3 Architect in 2014. Her length of service and valued design input reflects her commitment and dedication. Pauline has been involved in new build and refurbishment projects across healthcare, laboratory and education sectors, all of which showcase her expertise. Pauline's experience with CAD and BIM projects contributes significantly to project success.

Sarah Ansell

Office Administrator/PA

Sarah joined Architon in 2008 as Office Administrator/PA. She is resourceful and organised with a wealth of administrative support skills and over 25 years’ experience. Sarah successfully manages the daily operations of the office and is very well versed with updating policies, office procedures and company portals. Sarah is also one of our Emergency 1st Aiders at Work. Sarah is office dog Bailey’s mummy, so, you can find them both on the sofa having snuggles in their spare time.

Stephen Rimmer

BA (Hons) Arch, MArch, Part 2 - Architectural Assistant

Joined Architon in 2022 after completing his Part II master’s, Stephen brings fresh energy to support Senior Architects in Science & Research and Educational projects. His BIM knowledge and industry experience lay a solid foundation for his journey towards becoming a qualified Architect.

Tom McDonald

BA (Hons) Arch, MArch, ARB - Architect

Tom joined Architon in 2019 and has showcased a well-rounded understanding whilst working on educational, residential, hotel and science projects. His involvement across all RIBA work stages reflects his wide range of experience within the practice.

Bailey

Well-being and Therapy Dog

Bailey joined Architon in August 2021 when she was just 10 weeks old. Having gained much experience, Bailey now heads the office and keeps everyone in order paying particular attention to receiving lots of cuddles, treats and making sure everyone engages with her in a good game of tug. Bailey continues her love for Architecture by trying out comfy chairs and sofas and loves nothing more than a long walk followed by a nice snooze.
