The London Clinic

The London Clinic Project comprised the refurbishment of 5 floors of 18 Devonshire Place to provide ‘high-end’ private patient suites, together with reconfiguration of the adjacent 2-storey Annexe block for staff welfare facilities and locker rooms.

All areas were gutted back to shell and new builder’s opening formed for service routes to suit the new rooftop plant. Acoustics and quality of finish was the paramount driver of the executive private medical suite design, which included walnut veneer doorsets and bespoke bamboo joinery with a Steri Touch varnish finish.

Wet room style accessible washrooms were created for each bedroom and the 4 main isolation suites also had access to a separate living room / companion room as well as isolation lobby with handwash / changing.

Extensive architectural detailing was undertaken with the sub-contractor teams to ensure coordination of hoist tracks, “starry-sky” overbed lighting and other features.
