Architon were appointed as Contractor Architects from RIBA Stage 3 on this project.

The primary objective of the Stores Building was to provide a new centralised facility with rationalised 2 storey accommodation to replace the existing VLA stores and project assembly functions, that were housed in various buildings on the Weybridge main site. 

Bulk deliveries arrive at the stores building and are distributed to the various bulk and specialist stores.  Items are then order picked and assembled for delivery to point of use, thus reducing the number of deliveries, restricting HGV’s to one delivery route and reducing local storage requirements throughout the site.

The project achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating and won the 2010 BREEAM Industrial Award with a score of 83.76%.
